Malayalam actor Parvathy Thiruvoth who recently made her Bollywood debut with Qarib Qarib Single Single is known for her voicing her opinions. However, her recent comments on actor Mammootty's film Kasaba has not gone down well with his fans. A quick glance at her Facebook and Twitter profile throw up an avalanche of trolls, and abusive comments, mostly in Malayalam.
At the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), the actress said she was shocked to see the Malayalam star mouthing sexist dialogues in the film Kasaba. She said, "With all respect to the makers, the film disappointed me, as it featured a great actor uttering misogynistic dialogues. A lot of people feel and believe that cinema reflects life and the society. When a superstar utters such a dialogue, people obviously tend to think that it is cool to make sexist remarks."
Parvathy, who just joined Twitter in the first week of December, has been trolled on Twitter, too. Surprisingly, the actor seems to be taking the pains to reply to many of the comments in person. After the barrage of comments, Parvathy put down her foot, and made her stand clear in a tweet on Tuesday night. The actor made it clear that entertainment should not glorify violence. That, however, has not stopped the trolls.
Cinema can reflect all aspects of the society and all kinds of people. The good, the bad and the ugly. But no! It cannot glorify injustice and violence as "cool" & "mass" entertainment. I rest my case. This was a good day indeed! Thank you for sharing (and hurling) your thoughts!

Welcome welcome- please kindly take my words out of context, remind me that I'm "just a actress" and curse at me. Here's to your sensitive chauvinistic blind hearts! 🌵Yours- that annoying feminist. pic.twitter.com/HSUMjHXIKg
