Independent MP Pappu Yadav has said that he is not worried about the death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Yadav reportedly received a threat call from UAE from someone who claimed to be a member of the Bishnoi gang.
Yadav had reportedly called Bishnoi a "petty thug" and threatened to wipe them out in 24 hours in a post on X after Baba Siddique's murder.
Reacting to the threats, Yadav said: "I am not afraid of anyone. I just do my work and do not interfere in anyone's personal life. I am not even bothered about who is doing what. I am only afraid of god who is out public."
The threat message said Yadav "should focus quietly on his job politics" and not "try to earn TRPs by talking too much". "Otherwise, I will make you rest in peace," the threat read.

Though the MP wrote to the Home Ministry, Bihar Director General of Police and IG seeking to upgrade his security from 'X' to 'Y' category, Yadav later changed his stance, stating he didn't want security and that the public would take care of him. "Even now, I don't have a security cover. They said they received a threat from Malaysia. We have informed the top police officials as a law-abiding citizen. If anyone wants to kill me, they can," Yadav told reporters.
The MP also urged the government to do something about the threat to child orator Abhinav Arora. The child's family had approached authorities claiming that the 10-year-old received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. She alleged that the message read that Abhinav would be killed.
"Why doesn't Union Minister Giriraj Singh or others react to reports about Abhinav Arora? A child getting such threats in our country, why isn't the law protecting him? I request the government to do something about this," Yadav added.
