The Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE- Main), formerly All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEE), is an examination organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. Till 2018, it was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
It was introduced in the year 2002 and was renamed in April 2017. It is a national level competitive test conducted for admission into various undergraduate engineering and architecture courses in institutes accepting the JEE –Main score, mostly National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IITs) and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).
The candidate is ought to secure at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards in-order to be eligible for the examination. The qualifying marks for the SC/ST candidates would be 65 % in the 12th class examination.
Participating Institutes include:
The 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
The 20 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IITs)
19 other central government or state government funded institutions which also include the three Schools of Planning and Architecture
Participation of several self-financed institutes are also marked in the central seat allocation during the spot round.
JEE (Main) ranks are being used by many other institutes to fill seats through their own seat allocation processes.
JEE Advanced 2019 Answer Keys has been released:
IIT Roorkee on June 4, 2019 has published the JEE Advanced 2019 Answer Keys and Question Papers. Answer keys could be downloaded at jeeadv.ac.in.
The answer keys could be accessed separately for both the papers (as per codes) in PDF format.
Discrepancies found in the official answer keys could be addressed through feedbacks at feedback.jeeadv.ac.in/ until June 5.
Results of JEE Advanced 2019 will be released on June 14, 2019.
