AISSMS Institute of Information Technology (AISSMS IOIT), Pune, played host to an insightful event on February 11, 2024, spotlighting the innovative programs offered by Abertay University, UK. Organized by the IOIT ACM Student Chapter in collaboration with AECC - Study Abroad Consultants, the hour-long session provided an enriching platform for students to explore global academic opportunities. This event was coordinated by Dr. Meenakshi A. Thalor(Dean international partnership cell) under the guidance of Dr. P.B.Mane(Principal) and Hon’ble Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati(Secretary of AISSMS).
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Pradeep Mane, Principal of AISSMS IOIT, who warmly felicitated the distinguished guest, Mr. Doug Watters, Head of International Recruitment at Abertay University, IC3 Leader of the Africa Committee, and a distinguished member of the Board of Victoria League Scotland.
Recognized as a leader in Scotland for preparing students for successful careers in cybersecurity, Abertay University’s Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education stands as a testament to its commitment to excellence. The center fosters an environment where students, staff, and graduates thrive through dynamic teaching methods, pioneering research, and robust knowledge exchange activities. Watters highlighted the university’s holistic approach to education, blending theoretical knowledge with practical experiences to ensure graduates are industry-ready.
The collaboration with AECC - Study Abroad Consultants added significant value to the event, enhancing the outreach and providing students with a gateway to explore international education prospects.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 120 AISSMS IOIT students, who engaged actively in discussions, seeking clarity on course structures, career prospects, and the global relevance of the programs offered. The event not only broadened the horizons of the attendees but also strengthened the bridge between Abertay University and aspiring international students in India.
