Actor Aman Singh aka Amandeep Singh, who has worked in theatre, films as well as TV, believes in method acting. He feels that method acting is very much relevant in today’s time and age. Aman Singh says, “Method is underrated and often misunderstood. It is usually associated with intense dramatic roles, but it is very much relevant in comedy also. This is something I learned from my acting teacher Robert Ellerman. It really resonated with me. I love using method acting for comedy. It helps me stay away from the cliches in comedy.”
Aman Singh has a long list of the directors that he wishes to work with. He says, “Directors I would like to work with in Hollywood are Woody Allen and Quentin Tarantino. In Bollywood, I wish to work with Vishal Bharadwaj. The depth of the characters in his movies have always fascinated me. If I could reverse time, I would love to be a part of the cinema of the great Satyajit Ray.”
