Civil engineering to successful celebrity photographer, Rohit Sulakhe made passion his profession

The world has two types of people: those who pursue what they love, and those who just talk about it. Some people like to make a career out of their passions; they are excited by what they do and have the conviction that it will ultimately lead to a fulfilling life. For others, these passions are fleeting; a few years into pursuing their job, their passion has already started to fade away. While the prior niche is decreasing day by day, we are glad that Rohit Sulakhe is one of them. He is an eminent photographer and cinematographer whose excellence cannot be worded.

Having worked with many big names in the entertainment industry, he has curated an illustrious work profile. But did you know that the photographer who has made it to the headlines of international news channels was once a freelance photographer who did small wedding projects? You wouldn't believe it, right?

Rohit Sulakhe was taking a civil engineering course. But he was always fascinated by photography and started doing a few wedding shoots as a freelancer. Drawing inspiration from outstanding international photographers like Christian Matt Grab, Von Wong, and Vivienne & Tammas, he kept focusing on his passion and broadening his horizons about the same. His enthusiasm to click great pictures and tell a client's story was his USP. Every time he clicked pictures, his confidence about what he wanted to do in life grew.

Speaking of his journey, here's what Rohit Sulakhe said: "Different people define success differently, and for me, it's achieving contentment after completing my work. Being a photographer doesn't only bring me happiness; it also pushes me to expand my boundaries and challenge my creativity. It helps to be better every day."

He further added, "I am really happy that in today's time, actors are giving opportunities to young talent that weren't possible earlier. The kind of photography people are doing, especially the youth, has taken things in India to the next level. Photography is not just clicking a button; it is more than that. It's about connecting with the client to understand the point of view and create magic with a combination of ideas."

On an international level, Rohit Sulahke has a license for photography and filmmaking in the UAE. Rohit has shot for multiple Bollywood celebrities like Sanjana Sanghi, Dhanshree Verma, Varun Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, etc. He recently shot spectacular cinematic videos for Genelia Deshmukh for IIFA and for Sophie Choudry for Filmfare. His journey is an inspiration for everyone who wants to follow their dreams.
