Dr Brij Mohan Prasad, founder of Dr Brij Homeopathy Research Center and BC German Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd, and a well-known homeopathy physician in Bihar, needs no introduction. He is known for his research in homeopathy. His first research on Leucoderma in Goa was submitted in the conference organised by Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH) and he was also honoured by the then director general of the Council R.K. Manchanda. His second research paper, on diabetes, was submitted to the Chancellor of International Homeopathy Medical League, Germany, and he was also honoured by the secretary of HMI.
Dr Prasad presented his research paper on epilepsy at the International Homeopathic Medical League in South Africa a few years ago. In view of his research on epilepsy in South Africa, he was honoured by Mahatma Gandhi’s granddaughter Eila Gandhi. Within a few years he became famous in the world of homeopathy medicine and was presented the Pride of Bihar Award by Mangal Pandey, the then Health Minister of Bihar. He has also been honoured with the Bihar Gaurav Samman and the Visionary of Bihar Award by the Outlook Group.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the medicine Covidoxin, prepared by Dr Prasad, was much talked about. He distributed about one lakh doses of this medicine free of cost among the poor. The way Dr Prasad served the Corona patients day and night during the pandemic is praiseworthy, and in view of this, in 2023, he was given the Corona Warrior Award by His Excellency Governor of Bihar Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar.
Also honoured with the International Health Care Award by Padmashree Dr Jitendra Singh, a well-known physician of Bihar, Dr Prasad has pledged to take homeopathy treatment to the masses and also to serve the society through his treatment. ‘Brij Foundation’, run by Dr Prasad, has been focusing on free treatment of the poor through camps being organised in the villages for the past few years so that the poor can get proper treatment. It has also increased people’s confidence in homeopathy system of medicine.
Dr Prasad, who consider homeopathy a passion rather than a profession, started his career in a small rented room. His BC German Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd is currently manufacturing more than 200 medicines.A contributor to the country’s economy through his multi-crore company, Dr Prasad praises the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and says that ever since he discussed homeopathy in one of his speeches, he has been paying attention to this medical system, and people’s trust has increased a lot.
Dr Prasad’s wife, Dr Reena Kumari, director of Dr Brij Homeopathy Research Center and BC German Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., says that people used to call them visionaries, but only when Outlook Group honoured them with the ‘Visionary of Bihar’ award that people’s words were affirmed. A BHMS MD, she strongly believes that homeopathy is a medical system which has all the qualities of fast and permanent cure.
