The ninth edition of the T20 Cricket World Cup is underway in the United States and the West Indies. It is the first time the USA is hosting a major ICC event, and with the inclusion of numerous new debutant teams such as Canada and Uganda, the worldwide appeal of cricket is sure to grow following this tournament. 

This is also the first ICC event to feature 20 teams, a significant increase from the 16 teams in the 2022 edition. The tournament will take place primarily on the East Coast, with stadiums in New York, Long Island, and Florida, among other locations.
