The ministry of finance has informed that Infosys CEO Salil Parekh has been summoned by the government to meet Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday.
The official Twitter handle of the income tax department tweeted that Parekh was being summoned to explain to Sitharaman about continuing glitches with the e-filing portal that was developed by the IT giant. The I-T department claimed the portal "itself is not available" since Saturday.
The income tax department tweeted, "Ministry of Finance has summoned Sh Salil Parekh,MD&CEO @Infosysbon 23/08/2021 to explain to hon'ble FM as to why even after 2.5 months since launch of new e-filing portal, glitches in the portal have not been resolved.
