The power of ayurveda resurfaced at the Ground Breaking ceremony 3.0

On June 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Lucknow to officiate the Ground Breaking Ceremony 3.0, which attracted over Rs. 80,000 crores in investments. Vice Chairman of the GL Bajaj Institute, Mr. Pankaj Agarwal told that a total of 12 businesses from around the Uttar Pradesh state were selected. NadiPulse Prognostics, a startup founded by Kajal Srivastava, an alumna from GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Gautam Budh Nagar, is one of them.

Kajal, the founder of Nadi Pulse, graduated from GL Bajaj Institute's EC branch with a bachelor's degree in engineering. She started working on her start-up while studying engineering. She was recently awarded first place in the AYUSH Start-up Challenge competition held by the Ministry of AYUSH.   She is also receiving lakhs of rupees in funding for the initiative from a variety of sources. According to Kajal, Vaidyas diagnose diseases using the pulse to cure patients in the Ayurvedic system. This premise serves as her company's foundation NadiPulse Prognostics, a start-up that uses an Ayurvedic way of detecting disease. NadiPulse, a fusion of technology, healthcare and Indian ancient Ayurveda, develops non-intrusive devices which can diagnose full body balance and diseases just with the help of pulse patterns.

“NadiPulse is developing nCipher, a completely autonomous and scientific device for 'Nadi Parikshan,' or Ayurvedic Pulse Analysis. A doctor can utilise this to check your pulse, find any problems you may have, and then propose nutritional, yoga, or lifestyle changes as part of their overall healing strategy," Kajal explains. "I envision nCipher as an Ayurvedic barometer that can assess pulse patterns from radial artery blood flow," she says.

Kajal believes that its high time we level-up healthcare and through innovation and technology this can be achieved making healthcare accessible to all. She confirms that the gadget has been handed to several Ayurvedic practitioners for testing purposes. According to doctors, it is highly useful. The overall cost of the equipment will be around Rs. 15,000 in total. She had been invited to the Ground Breaking 3.0 ceremony by the Indian government. During the programme, the Prime Minister was required to recount the complete story of the company's founding. There has been a lot of effort put towards providing detailed information in fewer words. "After a lot of hard work, my goal became a reality. I was given the opportunity to talk with the Prime Minister about my plans. I couldn't ask for anything more. I'd like PM Modi to use the device someday “enthused an enthusiastic Kajal.

The R&D behind nCipher- Luxury of Ayurveda on your wrist

A person's health is determined by their dosha, which is a balance of the five elements of the world: air, earth, space, water, and fire, according to Ayurveda. Though each person is thought to have a unique constitution, they generally fall into one of three dosha types depending on their body type, personality, and sensitivities: vata, kapha, or pitta. As per Kajal, the disease is diagnosed in Ayurveda by determining the balance of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha via the Nadi. This is also the foundation of her start-up. The nCiper device’s three sensors measure the levels of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha in the body. Compare the imbalance of these three factors in the patient's nature and the present period, and display it as a graph. Doctors recognise the condition and begin treatment based on this information.

“Our first product nCipher is for doctors and in-home usage, and we hope to develop a consumer product later which will be the first wellness band akin to a fitness tracker based on the principals of Ayurveda, elevating this traditional science to make it accessible to all." she concludes.
