There were some who not only fought the hardships but also inspired others around them to do the same. These leaders showed the way with exemplary courage, innovative thinking and motivation. Currently, the company turnover is over 500 crores and caters to 120 countries, serving over 2,000 customers and building an assorted portfolio of over 40 Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. The company has approvals from international health authorities like USA, Europe, Japan, Latin America, Canada, Australia, and China, among other countries. Dr. Satish Wagh is the Founder & CMD of the company. Additionally he was also the chairman of CHEMEXCIL for 22 years. He was also listed in ‘Forbes powerful Performers 2021’ and ‘Economic Times Most Influential Leaders of 2022’

Armed with a MBA in finance and masters in hospital administration, Bodhanwala embarked on a new path in healthcare industry. When, in November 2012, an opening came her way as the CEO of Mumbai-based Wadia Hospital, she was not surprised that people were apprehensive about a woman handling a hospital, which is almost a century old. The hospital was was on the verge of closure when she joined. But she turned it around, and the hospital now has two dedicated super-specialty public hospitals, the Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children and Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital. Both have been serving the underprivileged section of the society. The hospital sees over 15,000 inpatients and over 1,50,000 outpatients annually. Under her watch the conjoined twins babies, Riddhi Siddhi, who had been turned away by other major hospitals in Mumbai, were admitted to Wadia Hospital; the hospital created history by saving their lives. At par with any world-class super speciality facility, the Wadia hospitals have been at the forefront to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. They have worked dedicatedly to manage COVID-19 patients ensuring zero COVID – 19 deaths at the hospital. The Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children ( BJWHC) now has 525 beds offering 34 Pediatric services. It is a recognized centre of excellence for Paediatric Cardiology, Paediatric Neurology, Paediatric Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery, Nephrology, Hemat-Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant and many more. With 155 beds, Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital is one of the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in the world. It is also the nodal centre for Club Foot in Maharashtra and the only centre in Western India that provides zero-day dialysis for newborns.

Dr. Neeraj Goyal, as a teenager in 9th standard had a dream of becoming a surgeon. 

The journey from that young boy to Rotarian Prof. Dr. Neeraj Goyal would have not been possible without his parents supporting his decision.

He showed mettle and tirelessly worked towards his passion, which has made him today a renowned surgeon in the field of Laser Proctology and Laparoscopic Surgery. 

He is associated with Max Superspeciality Hospital and Laser Proctology Training Center (Laser 360 Academy) in New Delhi. In last 21 years he has performed more than 34,000 major surgeries including 5,000 laser proctology cases. 

In addition, he is considered a pioneer in the use of fully resorbable mesh in hernia surgery. He has trained more than 1,000 surgeons across India through Live Operative Workshops and is soon crossing boundaries to share his experience with surgeons across world. Being a firm believer of technology & innovation, he strongly advocates diode laser with fibre technology for Hemorrhoids, Fistula-in-Ano and Pilonidal Sinus.

The impactful journey of Dr.Goyal began when he graduated in 1997 from LLRM Medical College, Meerut and completed his  Masters in Surgery in 2001 from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. It would not be wise to just know him as a surgeon, he holds over 13 years of teaching experience as a professor & head in dental college and is an effective team leader, trainer and a motivational speaker.

Despite his busy schedule he steals time for his family, sports and music.

A strong proponent of physical fitness, Dr Goyal regularly plays Cricket, Badminton, Carrom, Chess and has made his team proud by winning many trophies under his captainship. Not to forget Prof. Goyal is a rotarian by heart and always available for social service. It is rare to find a doctor who is appreciated by his patients as a “Doctor with Human Touch”. All one can say is that he is an epitome of knowledge in his field and a deft surgeon who knows so well how to strike a balance in following his passion as a  profession and taking care of family, friends and society at large.

Singh, after spending 27 years in London, returned to India and established Ruban Group of Hospitals in 1996 in Patna, Bihar. Within three years, Ruban expanded to a 45-bed hospital, and performed the first kidney transplant in Bihar, in 2010. Today, it has 430 beds, and is the largest hospital in Bihar and Jharkhand. Singh is also a renowned social and peace activist, and is the vice-president of the Kolkata-based Medical Service Centre, an organisation of doctors and other health workers. It is actively involved in debate and discussion on health policies, medical and paramedical education issues, and undertakes medical and humanitarian relief work during catastrophes. He is also the vice-president of the Indian Doctors for Peace & Development. His work on adverse effect on the health of Jaduguda uranium mine workers was presented at the IPPNW conferences at Helsinki & Hiroshima. He is currently involved in the restoration of a Sitaram Ashram near Patna.
