Bimal Dayal who was transmission business chief of Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has been appointed the CEO of Adani Infrastructure India. The move is part of a management reshuffling aimed at achieving 15 per cent growth, stated the company.
AESL, in an official statement, said Dayal will be responsible for the pipeline of Adani Infrastructure India infrastructure projects in thermal, renewable energy and green hydrogen.
Anil Sardana will remain as AESL Managing Director while Kandarp Patel, who was a director with Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML), is now in-charge of AESL verticals.
"With this executive-level transition, the Adani portfolio of companies has taken another significant step towards strengthening their resolve to grow the infrastructure business at an aggressive rate of over 15 per cent per annum. The portfolio recently announced its plan to invest over Rs 7 lakh crore over the next 10 years to consolidate its preeminent position as the largest infrastructure player in India," the statement said.
Who is Bimal Dayal?
Prior to joining Adani Group, Bimal Dayal, a telecom industry veteran, was the CEO and MD of Indus Towers till September 17, 2022. During his 12-year tenure at Indus Towers, Dayal was chief operating officer for the first six years followed by another half-a-dozen years as MD and CEO. With a total experience of about 35 years, he has also worked with Qualcomm and Ericsson, Sri Lanka in past.
He has a Bachelor's in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Delhi University and has completed the Advance Management program from Harvard Business School.
