Royal Enfield has had a commanding position in the 250-750 cc middle-weight class motorcycles. Upping the ante, the company has now launched its latest motorcycle, the Guerrilla 450.

This motorcycle is built on the same platform as the Himalayan. However, in terms of design, the two are miles apart. Royal Guerrilla 450 is a sporty-looking roadster.

Performance-wise, the Guerrilla 450 has a powerful 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, with an output of 40PS at 8,000 rpm and 40Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.

Also branded as the GRR 450 in Latin American markets, the motorcycle is available in three variants: Analogue, Dash, and Flash. Each variant is supported by features like a dynamic chassis, upright riding posture, and versatile ergonomics. Riders can switch between performance and eco modes.

It features a steel twin-spar tubular frame, a stepped bench-seat, an 11-liter fuel tank, LED headlights, and an upswept silencer.

A 4-inch infotainment cluster is available on the top and mid variants. This system offers navigation, music control, weather forecasts, and comprehensive vehicle information.

"The Guerrilla 450 is our take on modern roadsters, and we are super happy with how it has turned out. It is built on the same platform as the Himalayan, but tuned to roadster performance that makes it feel excitingly different when you ride it," said Siddhartha Lal, managing director of Eicher Motors.

Bookings for the Guerrilla 450 are now open in India, the UK, and European countries, with deliveries starting in August 2024. The introductory price in India is Rs. 2,39,000, while in the UK and Germany, it is priced at £4,850 and €5,290 respectively. The bike will be available in a phased manner across other global markets by early next year.

This latest motorcycle from Royal Enfield will go up against Triumph Speed 400, the Harley Davidson X440 and the Mavrick 440 from Hero MotoCorp.
