Elon Musk reacts to Modi becoming most followed leader in the world on X

Tech billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being the most followed leader in the world on the social media platform X.

Modi has 100.1 million followers on X.

Congratulations PM @NarendraModi on being the most followed world leader! Musk said in a post on X.

Earlier this week, PM Modi took to express his happiness over being the most followed leader on the social media platform.

"A hundred million on @X! Happy to be on this vibrant medium and cherish the discussion, debate, insights, people's blessings, constructive criticism and more. Looking forward to an equally engaging time in the future as well," Modi said.

Modi joined Twitter in 2009. According to news agency ANI, the prime minister’s X handle has seen an impressive growth of about 30 million users in the last three years.

Modi is far ahead of many of the sports personalities in the number of X followers, including Virat Kohli (64.1 million), Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr (63.6 million) and American basketball player LeBron James (52.9 million). He is even ahead of celebrities like Taylor Swift (95.3 million), Lady Gaga (83.1 million), and Kim Kardashian (75.2 million).
