Amid Apple's announcement of iPhone 16 series on September 9, the Cupertino giant has also appointed Kevan Parekh as it next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will replace Luca Maestri who has been serving as Apple CFO since 2014.
Parekh, who has technical and business background, will assume the role of CFO on January 1, 2025.

Who is Kevan Parekh?
Parekh, 52, has been with Apple since June 2013 and is currently serving as the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis.
He had formerly worked with Thomson Reuters for four years and served as Vice-President of Finance as well as Corporate Treasurer. He has also worked at General Motors for five years, holding posts of Director of Business Development in New York and Regional Treasurer in Zurich.
Parekh completed his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and MBA from the University of Chicago.
According to Bloomberg, outgoing CFO Maestri has been "grooming" Parekh for the CFP post over the past several months, pointing out that the plan was set in motion as early as May 2024.
