Why did Apple roll out iOS 17.7 along with iOS 18?

Should you update to iOS 18 now?
If you are wary of updating to iOS 18, no need to worry. You can wait for iOS 18.1 in October when Apple will make the new Apple Intelligence features public. Apple Intelligence will be available only for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and the new iPhone 16 lineup. You can get hold of the new iPhone 16 models from September 20 but need to wait till October to enjoy the perks of Apple Intelligence when iOS 18.1 lands. A later version, iOS 18.2, will be available in December.
What features will iOS 18 have?
Though Apple Intelligence will arrive only next month with iOS 18.1, the new first version of iOS 18 will come with exciting features like screen customisation and a rejigged Control Centre, which some users might not like.
