iOS 18.1 likely to add dedicated Control Center modules for Satellite, Wi-Fi and VPN on iPhone

iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 lineup users are awaiting the much-talked-about iOS 18.1 around mid-October 2024 to get their hands on exciting Apple Intelligence features. As we wait for the next major update, there are hints from the iOS 18.1 beta versions about what else is in store for Apple fans.

A bunch of these are separate Control Center modules for certain connectivity features. Right now, once updated to iOS 18, iPhone users get a combine connectivity module consisting of Airplane mode, AirDrop, Wi-Fi, Mobile Data, Bluetooth, Personal Hotspot and VPN.

However, dedicated modules are available for Airplane Mode, Mobile Data, Personal Hotspot and Bluetooth. iPhone users have been hoping to get separate modules for Wi-Fi and VPN. These were added in iOS 18.1 beta 5.

Though the Cupertino giant rolled out beta 6 versions of watchOS, tvOS and visionOS, it decided to skip iOS and macOS updates for the same for now.

However, X user Aaron Perris has spotted a few exciting minor updates that could arrive in iOS 18.1 from the beta 6 codes of other Apple platforms. One of the major features expected to arrive with iOS 18.1 beta 6 is a separate Satellite connectivity module.

The delay in release of iOS18.1 beta 6 might be due to bugs that needed fixing, according to report.
