Rajasthan development to strengthen Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor
Speaking at the summit, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma attributed the state’s infrastructure improvements to the efforts of the double-engine government. He noted that Rajasthan hosts 58 per cent of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, giving it direct access to 40 per cent of India’s market. With the third-largest highway network in the country, spanning over 3 lakh kilometres, the state is actively constructing an additional 53,000km of roads, including 2,750km of nine new Greenfield Expressways.
“The passage of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor through the tribal districts of the state of Rajasthan will facilitate the development of these districts at a fast pace and help unlock the industrial potential of these areas,” said the chief minister.
Sharma further emphasized the potential for rapid development in Rajasthan’s tribal districts through the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department, Praveen Gupta, added that the state has made significant strides in the logistics sector, which has improved its rankings and attracted investors.
