Bharat Battery Show, a part of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, is an exhibit dedicated to battery technologies and energy storage solutions, primarily focusing on India’s green mobility sector. In collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) will organise the event from January 19 to 21, in Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
“Batteries are the cornerstones of the e-mobility transition,” said Vimal Anand, Joint Secretary to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, “enabling efficient, sustainable, and reliable transportation solutions,” he continued. Anand further added that by 2030, India will require 300 GWH of advanced batteries for e-mobility.
“As we accelerate towards a greener future, developing and deploying cutting-edge energy storage technologies is imperative,” he said, during the curtain raiser of the event held in Le Meridien, New Delhi, on Tuesday.
The Bharat Battery Show will feature innovations in battery storage, recycling, and charging infrastructure, with over a hundred global participants from countries like Germany, the USA, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and China. IESA is also hosting two pre-event knowledge conferences—the 4th India Battery Manufacturing and Supply Chain Summit on January 15-16 and the India Battery Recycling and Reuse Summit on January 18.
Additionally, during the exhibition, two key knowledge sessions—the Startup Connect Program and the India Charging Infrastructure Forum—will take place on January 21.
Epsilon Advanced Materials will announce plans for a 100 KTPA LFP & LMFP Cathode Active Material plant by 2030, while LICO will introduce battery energy storage systems (BESS) from repurposed batteries for commercial use.
Advanced Li-ion batteries by Replus and BIS & UN38.3 certified LFP battery cells by Nash Energy will be some of the key components of the battery fair. Meanwhile, RevX will present its scalable high-voltage battery management system compatible with electric vehicles and energy storage solutions, along with TuringX, a cloud-based platform for advanced battery analysis, and VTS, a 4G telematics solution for comprehensive system monitoring.
“We have around 80 exhibitors,” IESA President Debi Prasad told THE WEEK. “Most of them are battery manufacturers, supply chain companies, recycling companies,” he said. Prasad further pointed out the launch of around 20 products at the expo.
India now possesses over 10,000 public charging stations and 1,00,000 swappable batteries. According to IESA’ s Annual EV Market report, the EV charging sector has a potential of 37% annual growth and the battery swapping industry has a growth rate of 45% year-on-year basis.
Taking place from January 17 to 22, Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, led by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry will span across three major venues, including the Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi (IICC) in New Delhi and India Expo Center & Mart in Greater Noida, UP. Expected to hail the footfall of around 1500 exhibitors and 5,00,000 visitors from more than 50 countries, the occasion will present a wide array of advancements in the automobile industry.
