"It seems like a no-brainer for offices, restaurants, etc., where we have managed washrooms," said the Zerodha co-founder.
What is Zerodor?
Zerodor is owned by Uttam Banerjee's Ekam Eco Solutions, which claims that these waterless urinals are cost-efficient, controls odour and reduces wastage of water. The plumbing kit can be retrofitted to any regular urinal pan.
Kamath said the company was impressed by the product as it does whatever necessary to save water. Through its Rainmatter Capital initiative, Zerodha is funding Zerodor, he added.
Zerodor also has another product for women that can control odour.
Kamath shared a video of Banerjee pitching his company on Shark Tank India. The only offer Zerodor got was from Peyush Bansal who said he would invest Rs 1 crore for 10 per cent equity, if Banerjee folds up his other businesses.
