The 20th edition of the India-USA joint military exercise, Yudh Abhyas 2024, being held at the Foreign Training Node in Mahajan Field Firing Ranges, Rajasthan saw woman combatants of both sides joining hands to showcase their strength, resilience, and professionalism in the field.
Indian Army's South Western Command, in a tweet, called the joint drills a "proud testament to the power of #NariShakti."
"As they lead from the front, they are not only breaking barriers in defence but also paving the way for greater gender equality in the armed forces," the tweet further read.



The Indian Army is being represented by a battalion of the Rajput Regiment along with personnel from other arms and services, at the joint exercise which is underway.



Yudh Abhyas 2024 will continue till September 22.



Next-generation equipment, cutting-edge technologies and advanced weapon systems into were being used during the counter-terror drills at the event.



Yudh Abhyas aims to enhance the joint military capability of India and US to undertake counter-terrorism ops in a sub-conventional scenario under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.

Tactical drills to be rehearsed during the exercise include joint response to a terrorist action, joint planning and combined field training exercises that simulate real-world counter-terrorism missions.
