The Indian Air Force, on Thursday, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with cab aggregator Uber for offering mobility solutions for the official and daily travel needs of Air Force officers, veterans, and their families.
The MoU between Air Force and Uber was signed by Air Vice Marshal Updesh Sharma, ACAS (Accts & AV) and Uber's Senior Country GM, Abhinav Mittoo in the presence of Air Marshal R.K. Anand, Air Officer-in-Charge of Administration (AOA).

Uber said in a tweet: 'Through this partnership, IAF personnel, civilians, veterans and their families can enjoy exclusive offers with Uber, enhancing mobility solutions for the community."

The collaboration with Uber represents an important step in the journey towards enhanced mobility solutions for Air Force personnel and families, the IAF said.
IAF will use Uber for Business, which is designed to provide customised travel benefits to users.
Uber said it is proud to partner with IAF and play its role in "nation building" and added that the partnership marks a significant step towards digitalisation by adopting shared mobility solutions.
"Through this MoU, we aim to support the Indian Air Force’s broader vision of leveraging technology for a transformative progress. The program brings together a tech-enabled solution and a reliable mobility service aimed at delivering cost efficiencies and rider experience at scale,” Uber said in a statement.
