The simulator helps save flying hours as it allows to conduct a major part of the pilot's training on it. The system simulates various various missions like tactical airlift, para-dropping, para-trooping, medical evacuation, and disaster relief, enabling pilots to train in a near-realistic environment.
It also simulates several critical situations that can be encountered in actual operations, ensuring that the IAF pilots are battle-ready. The FMS will allow pilots to hone their skills in handling high-risk emergencies that require time critical decisions, thereby enhancing the overall flight safety of military operations.

The C295 transport aircraft has been inducted into the IAF and subsequent aircraft will be produced in the Tata Advanced Systems Limited facility at Vadodara in a boost to the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative of the government.
