The cultural diversity and military prowess of India will be on full display at the Republic Day Parade 2025 in which President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto will be the chief guest. There will be a special focus on the 75 years of enactment of the Constitution during the event.
Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said a 160-member marching contingent and 190-member band contingent from Indonesia, along with the contingents of the Indian Armed Forces, will take part in the parade at Kartavya Path on January 26.
The event will begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying a wreath at the National War Memorial. President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at Kartavya Path in a ceremonial buggy and take the salute during a ceremonial march past.
Units from the Armed Forces, Para Military Forces, Auxiliary Civil Forces, NCC, and NSS will be part of the march past.
Thirty-one tableaux, with the theme ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ from states/Union territories, Central government ministries, Departments, and Organisations will participate in the Republic Day Parade. As 75 years of enactment of the Constitution is the focus of Republic Day celebrations, two tableaux during the parade will be related to the theme.
To make it easy for people to get information and gain access to watch various events on Republic Day, a comprehensive mobile app (on App Store and Msewa) and portal ‘Rashtraparv Portal’ has been developed. This will serve as a focus point for all the details relating to events like the Republic Day Parade and Beating Retreat, according to a release from the ministry of defence.
