Have you heard the name Neri Oxman? If you haven't, you better learn it now because Brad Pitt seems to be interested in her.
After his split from Angelina Jolie in 2016, Pitt was the one of the most desired singletons in the world. There were rumours that his interest in his former wife Jennifer Aniston had been rekindled, but that news seems to have fizzled out.
And the latest rumour to hit tabloids is that Pitt, one of the sexiest men alive, is interested in a 42-year-old woman Neri Oxman. What makes the news more interesting is the fact that she is an award-winning architect with a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge.
Oxman is often called the 'rock star' professor and is said to be leading the Mediated Matter research group (focusing on ‘nature-inspired design and design-inspired nature’), and teaches graduate students at MIT School of Architecture and Planning Media Lab. The lady seems to be all brains and plenty of beauty, too.
Pitt and Oxman met apparently when he consulted her about an exclusive item of furniture she'd designed—a '3D printed' chaise lounge. It seems to have been love at first interaction for Pitt, an avid sculptor himself, as a New York Post's gossip column said: ‘Brad and Neri instantly hit it off because they share the same passion for architecture, design and art. Brad is very interested in spending more time with Neri; she is fascinating.’
There are reports of Pitt being seen walking into her apartment buildings on multiple occasions. Though sources close to both parties have confirmed that they have met up, none are ready to confirm the love angle.
Oxman's parents are professors at Technion (the Israel Institute of Technology) and both are said to be big names in their own fields. After serving 18 months of her conscription years in the Israeli Air Force, she spent two years in medical school in Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She moved to London to study architecture, after beginning the course in Israel. She moved to the US in 2005 and did her PhD.
Oxman was earlier married to Osvaldo Golijov, a Grammy award-winning Argentine composer and 15 years her senior. The marriage ended on an amicable note when both realised it was not working. ‘Neri is multi-layered, like a flower. Unique and beautiful on the inside and out,’ he told the Daily Mail.
Comaprison between Oxman and Angelina Jolie are due like in any other story and most seem to find Oxman more suitable for Pitt than Jolie, due to his love for architecture.
Meanwhile, the divorce proceedings for Bragelina couple has been moving on and said to be almost settled.
