Actor Alia Bhatt posted a picture of her with sister Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and her father Mahesh Bhatt. She posted the image with a heart emoji. Sadak, the 1991 movie starred Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt. The sequel will mean Mahesh Bhatt returning to the director's chair after 19 years. He last directed Sanjay Dutt starrer Kartoos in 1999.
Just before posting the picture, she shared a picture of her father with a heartfelt note that read, “Dear Daddy, On your 70th Birthday you have given me the greatest present I could ask and dream for. You are directing me! Sadak 2 is a dream come true.. What I thought will never be possible you have made possible. Thank you daddy from the bottom of my heart, soul and bones.This will be a journey of discovery.. Of life, movies, feeling and most of all.. Of a father and daughter. I love you my not-so-old man! Happy Birthday.” Mahesh Bhatt celebrates his birthday on September 20.
The actor had also posted a teaser of the film on the social media platform. Alia recently finished shooting the Bulgaria schedule of Brahmastra, which also stars her rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Brahmastra is being directed by Ayan Mukerji. Sadak 2 is scheduled to release in August 2019.
