The #MeToo movement has arrived in Kollywood, too, with two women accusing Tamil lyricist Vairamuthu of sexual harassment.
Journalist Sandhya Menon took to Twitter to share screenshots of an anonymous woman who alleged being molested by the senior lyricist when she was 18 years old. She had gone to his office in Kodambakkam to work on a project. The woman alleged that Vairamuthu hugged and kissed her, on 'the pretext of explaining lyrics'. In the screenshot, the woman wrote that it is known that Vairamuthu is a 'predator', but nobody will expose him due to his 'political connections'.
