Mass is back: Trailer of Rajinikanth's next 'Petta' released

The trailer of the much-awaited Rajinikanth movie Petta was released on Friday. And it has all the ingredients to send the fans into frenzy—whistle-worthy dialogues, thrilling action and an impressive line of stars.

Rajinikanth plays Kaali and the trailer opens with a narration by none other than Kollywood's latest sensation Vijay Sethupathi.

The movie is scheduled to be released on January 10 during the Pongal weekend.

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj (Jigarthanda, Pizza and Iraivi) Petta boasts of a huge line of ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Simha, Simran and M. Sasikumar.

A teaser of the movie, released on the birthday of Rajinikanth, had assured that the Petta will bring the good old 'mass' days of Thalaiva. Besides, at the audio launch of the film, the actor had said, "Petta is an entertaining throwback to the kind of films I did in 1990s." Rajinikanth had also praisd the director saying, "Karthik has a very different style of storytelling. He directed this film like a true Rajinikanth fan."
