Actor Madhavan, quite literally, seems to have got into the skin of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan whom he essays in the biopic, Rocketry: The Nambi effect. Madhavan took to Instagram to share photos of him and Narayanan from the set of the film.
In the pictures, their eerie resemblance will strike you hard. Madhavan told media earlier that this would probably be one of the toughest characters of his career. He added that getting the look right is just half the battle won.
Madhavan took to social media on Monday to confirm he was taking over as director of the film, and sought blessings. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
In September last year, Nambi Narayanan was compensated Rs 50 lakh by the Supreme Court for 'unnecessary arrest, harassment and mental cruelty' in the infamous 1994 espionage case. Narayanan was falsely accused of selling vital secrets associated with Indian space technology to Pakistan. Though he was later acquitted by a CBI court and the Supreme Court in 1998, he spent a total of 50 days in jail.
