It has now been reported that Rajinikanth may be taking a pay cut for next film, directed by A.R. Murugadoss. According to media reports, the actor decided to take the salary cut because Lyca Productions, which had produced 2.0, directed by Shankar, did not do the business it was expected to, despite shattering many a records. The movie was produced at a whopping Rs 543 crore.
The actor, after learning that the production house suffered a financial setback due to 2.0, decided to take a pay cut to help Lyca Productions, which will produce his film with Murugadoss, to rake financial benefits with the movie.
Shooting of the yet-to-be titled film is expected to begin soon. The director had earlier revealed that the movie will not be a political one.
Currently, Rajinikanth is busy with the marriage of his younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth. She will get married to actor-businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi on February 11.
