Tamil superstar Vijay does enjoy a considerable fan base in Kerala. There are fan associations that make every release of their Thalapathy a grand celebration.
However, it is a little too far-fetched to say Vijay has more fans in Kerala than Malayalam superstars who have lakhs of fans across the state. But Kerala MLA P.C. George did just that. In a recent TV debate show, the motormouth MLA went on to claim that Vijay enjoys more number of fans in Kerala than Mollywood's reigning stars.

He further said he was even asked to inaugurate the release of a Vijay movie in a theatre. He said when he went to the theatre, he saw thousands of people pouring milk on the cutouts of the actor.
The MLA's comments have left the fans of Mollywood superstars enraged. They slammed George on social media for making such an outlandish statement. They, however, admitted that Vijay does have a huge fan following in God's own country.
Nonetheless, the fans of Vijay are elated as many of them appreciated the MLA in the comment section of the video.
Vijay's last release was Sarkar, a political thriller directed by A. R. Murugadoss. The actor is currently busy with his upcoming project, tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 63'. The movie, directed by Atlee, has Nayanthara in the lead.
