Even as there is only a few more days to go for the final battle to begin at Westeros, Oreo has dropped a surprise for the fans of Game of Thrones and everyone who loves their cookies.
The limited-edition of the classic cookies will feature edible emblems of the remaining houses fighting for the throne—House Targaryen, House Stark and House Lannister—and the The Night King. All the four designs will be available in a single package. According to media reports, the Oreo package will be all in black, with the names of each of the houses written on them.
The Oreo cookies will be available from April 8 in the US, say media reports. The cookies will be available only for a limited period of time.
According to usatoday.com, Oreo brand manager Kamila De Maria said, “ At Oreo, we are always looking for new ways to playfully tap into emerging trends and pop culture...ame of Thrones' is one of the most talked about TV shows of a generation, so partnering with HBO was a great way to bring something unexpected to our classic cookie as a tribute to the show’s legacy.”
Oreo has also collaborated with HBO to come up with a special version of the opening credits of Game of Thrones, featuring as many as 2,750 cookies built to look like the landscape of Westeros.
