Majili, which will hit theatres on April 5, has managed to create much curiosity among Tollywood cinema goers as it is the first time Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni are coming together after their marriage.
Speaking about the movie in an interview, Naga Chaitanya said Majili, a family drama in which he plays a broke cricketer, is about overcoming pain and failures as one of the themes in the movie is break-up. The actor admitted that he has gone through his share of heartbreaks, but added that these only made him a stronger person.

Naga Chaitanya said it took months for him to prepare for the role of a cricketer. Further, he said Majili is a realistic movie in which even fights and songs do not take much "cinematic liberties". In the interview to telugucinema.com, he said he was was very impressed with the script as this was the kind of script he wanted to work with Samantha after their marriage as there had to be something unique in a movie for them to team up.
Speaking about the climax of the movie, Naga Chaitanya said the climax will be a conversation between Samantha and him and added that the second half of the movie will have plenty of arguments and conversations, presented in an interesting manner. According to media reports, the actor revealed that his favourite scene in the movie came post interval which is again an argument. Naga Chaitanya is hopeful that this scene will impress the movie goers.
He said it was very comfortable to work with Samantha as he knows her style of work and body language. It helped that they were given the scenes in advance, he added.
