Vijay Sethupathi has once again proved that he is arguably the most versatile actor among the current Kollywood stars with his performance as a transgender in the Thiagarajan Kumararaja directorial Super Deluxe. The actor now is teaming up with his Purampokku director S. P. Jananathan for a movie titled Laabham.
The project, in which Shruti Haasan is paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi, was launched on Monday. Both the actors took to social media to share the news.
"Excited to start a new film with one of my favourite actors ! Such a lovely team 💕 positive, progressive and fun ," Shruti Haasan wrote on Instrgram while sharing a pic of her with Vijay Sethupathi.
"Happy to joining again with #SPJhananthan sir 😍😍 #LaabamShootKickStarts," wrote Vijay Sethupathi.
According to media reports, the movie also stars Kalaiarasan and Jagapathi Babu. This is the first time Shruti Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi are coming together in a movie.

Apart from Laabham, Vijay Sethupathi has a number of projects lined up. He will be next seen in Sindhubaadh, an action thriller directed by S. U. Arun Kumar. He is also shooting for Kadaisi Vivasayi, which is being directed by M. Manikandan of Kaaka Muttai fame.
Shruti Haasan was last seen in Ajith Kumar starrer Vedalam.
