Actor Siddharth, on Wednesday, posted a cryptic tweet, which seems to be a jibe aimed at Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar after his free-wheeling interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was aired. “#akshaykumar is very underrated as a villain,” he wrote.
That Twitterati had no doubts about Siddharth's intentions is clear from the comments that followed. Many took a dig at Siddharth, calling him out for 'jealousy' and posting memes featuring one of Akshay Kumar's iconic dialogues. That said, looking at 'villain' roles played by Akshay Kumar, his portrayal of the antagonist in Rajinikanth's Tamil film 2.0 is the most significant till date. He has also played negative characters in films like Ajnabee and Blue.

Siddharth is known to speak his mind, and make his stance clear on political and social issues. He had kicked up a storm recently for his sarcastic comments on the trailer of Narendra Modi's biopic, PM Narendra Modi. Siddharth had tweeted the film's trailer doesn't show how Modi won India's independence by 'single-handedly wiping out the British empire. Siddharth who has acted in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films, and also played a key role in Bollywood hit Rang De Basanti, had also criticised the Narendra Modi government for 'politicising' the Pulwama attacks.
A day after Akshay Kumar said he would be getting into an "unknown and uncharted territory" with something he had not done before, the Bollywood actor had on Tuesday said he will have a "candid and completely non- political" chat with Modi on Wednesday. The 51-year-old star said his conversation with the prime minister will be a "breather" in election time.
In the interview that was telecast by news agency ANI, Modi gave insights into his personality, political friendships with the likes of Mamata Banerjee and style of functioning and parted with humorous anecdotes and jokes about Gujarati attitudes towards money.
