Atlee Kumar, popular for directing two hugely successful Vijay movies Mersal and Theri, is finding himself in a tough spot even as he is busy with directing Vijay for a third time in an untitled movie.
According to media reports, a junior artist accused the director of verbally harassing her on the sets of the movie. She said she, along with other junior artists, sought basic amenities like food and toilets from the assistant directors. She claimed that neither Atlee nor his assistant directors helped them, instead resorted to verbal abuses in front of senior actors.
The artist, identified as Krishna Devi, claimed that she was forcefully removed from the set. A complaint has been registered against the director in connection with the incident.
