Justin Bieber has come out with a claim that some rap aficionados may find akin to a heresy. The 'Baby' singer said Eminem does not understand new generation of rap.
In his Instagram story, Bieber posted that he likes Eminem's flow but doesn't like Eminem dissing other new rappers. "He just don't understand it," the 'Boyfriend' singer wrote.
Bieber does have a reason for being upset with Eminem. The rapper, in his 'Kick Off' freestyle which came out last year, had dissed Bieber. "Justin Bieber in a Catholic school/Selling dust and reefer when your back is to him," Eminem had rapped.
In the song 'The Ringer' in his recent album Kamikaze, Eminem had dissed a number of other rappers and famous personalities, including Donald Trump, Joe Budden, Lil Yachty, Lil Pump and Lil Xan and Die Antwoord.
“Lil Pump, Lil Xan imitate Lil Wayne
I should aim at everybody in the game, pick a name
I'm fed up with bein' humble
And rumor is I'm hungry, I'm sure you heard bumblings
I heard you wanna rumble like an empty stomach
I heard your mumblin' but it's jumbled in mumbo-jumbo
The era that I'm from will pummel you, that's what it's comin' to
What the fuck you're gonna do when you run into it?
I'm gonna crumble you and I'll take a number two
And dump on you, if you ain't Joyner,” he had rapped.
While Bieber may claim that Eminem does not get the new age rap, he may be in the wrong as 755,027 units of his albums were reportedly sold last year.
Going by Bieber's logic, Lionel Messi wouldn't know a thing about football or Roger Federer wouldn't know how to hold a racket!
