The latest episode (fourth) in the final season of Game of Thrones was a rushed fare, to put it lightly. While the episode started off fairly lightly, it got dark, very fast. Missandei was captured, later executed, while Daenerys's second dragon Rhaegal met its end after a surprise assault by Euron Greyjoy. The Northern army departed, in no great shape and a fraction of its original size after the punishing war with White Walkers, on the command of Daenerys.
But, one thing in particular really irked the Game of Thrones fans. Right before departing to the South himself, Jon Snow 'ghosted' his trusty direwolf Ghost. He instructed Tormund to take Ghost back to the far North, and left without as much as a nod to the hurt and injured wolf who watched mournfully as he rode off. At the end of the White Walker war in the third episode, GoT Twitter was frantically searching to see if Ghost—who had become a fan favourite—was still alive in the battlefield. How can we trust a man as a king if he does not even care enough to pet his wolf a final goodbye, some users questioned.

I’ve watched a lot of f’d up stuff on Game Of Thrones, but dipping on Ghost like that was by far the most brutal.

Only if we paid that much attention to the characters of the people we elect to power.
