Salman Khan's 'Bharat' character gets a Twitter emoji

The emoji represents Salman Khan’s bearded look in Bharat

Movie makers have been using social media to get the pulse of the audience and promote their films. The interactive platform allows them to engage with the movie goers and arouse curiosity in upcoming movies and characters.

As the release of Bollywood star Salman Khan's latest offering, Bharat, is fast approaching, the actor and the makers of the movie have resorted to some unconventional promotional techniques. According to reports, an official emoji has been launched by Twitter in partnership with Reel Life Productions as part of the movie's promotions.

The emoji that represents Salman Khan’s bearded look in Bharat can be added by the Twitter users with #Bharat, #BharatThisEid, #IAmBharat and #BharatWithFamily.

The actor expressed his gratitude for the emoji on Twitter with several hashtags.

We wanted to elevate the conversation and delight fans of Bharat and Salman worldwide."

Bharat is an adaptation of South Korean movie Ode To My Father. The film marks the reunion of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif after their 2017 blockbuster film Tiger Zinda Hai. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film also features Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover and Aasif Sheikh in leading roles.

Bharat will hit theatre screens on June 5, 2019.
