'The Lion King': Shah Rukh, son Aryan to voice Mufasa and Simba in Hindi version

As a father, I can totally relate with Mufasa, Shah Rukh said

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to voice the character of Mufasa, in the Hindi version of Disney's upcoming live-action film The Lion King. His elder son Aryan Khan will voice the character of Simba.

Shah Rukh Khan said in a statement, “The Lion King is that one movie that my entire family loves the most and it holds a very special place in our hearts. As a father, I can totally relate with Mufasa and the endearing relationship he shares with his son – Simba. The legacy of Lion King is timeless and being a part of this iconic re-imagining with my son Aryan makes it extra special for me. We are most excited that AbRam is going to watch this.”

On Sunday, Shah Rukh treated fans to a photograph of him and Aryan, clad in the blue colour t-shirts in support of the Indian cricket team, with Mufasa and Simba written on their backs. Directed by Jon Favreau, The Lion King, releases in India on July 19, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
