On Tuesday, #KunalKamra started trending on Twitter, and all because of a one-liner he tweeted earlier in the day. “The letter “P” in “NARENDRA MODI” stands for Peace,” he tweeted.

What followed was a barrage of trolls, and abuses from users who picked on his name and slammed his comment. On the other side, there were also other users who ridiculed how Kamra had managed to rattle 'Modi bhakts'.

To put things into perspective, Kamra, a popular political satirist who spares no chance to take on the BJP, hasn't had things easy in recent times. With just more than a million subscribers, his YouTube channel is popular for his stand-up episodes and more for his series, Shut Up Ya Kunal, in which he features free-wheeling conversations with cultural and political figures on that state of the country today. In August this year, Kamra’s show in Surat was cancelled on Saturday after some “local youth” disrupted the preparation for the show and prevented people from entering Shree Surti Modhvanik Wadi, the venue. Protestors, reportedly, claimed he was 'anti-national' and ''anti-Hindu'.
This vocal critic of the BJP and Modi said he received multiple calls after Modi was re-elected. Speaking to a portal, he had said: “Everyone I know called me that day as if there had been a death in my family.”
His most recent strike at Modi came after the PM's much talked-about Man vs Wild episode with Bear Grylls. In a spoof video Kamra created, he superimposed a photo of news anchor Ravish Kumar on Grylls’s face with the line: “Thank you Modiji for finally meeting Ravish Kumar”.
