Red carpet appearances of celebrities are what fashion enthusiasts eagerly watch out for. Because everyone puts their best 'fashion' foot forward as they pose for international media. Malayalam actor Joju George, who is known for always keeping it simple, is now the talk of the town for his look on the red carpet at Venice. He donned a traditional mundu and blue shirt, when he appeared for the premiere of Chola.

Director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s Chola, starring Nimisha Sajayan and Joju, featured in the Orizzonti (Horizons) category of the Festival. Nimisha was also seen sticking to the traditional style, wearing a white and gold sari, paired with matching blouse with puffy sleeves. Actor Akhil Viswanath, who essays a crucial role in the film, also stuck to the traditional look, with a twist—pairing a black mundu with a black shirt. This could probably also be the first time a mundu makes its way to the red carpet.

Joju's look is being shared by filmmakers and personalities on social media who are hailing him for his cool attitude.

Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s Mathilukal and Nizhalkuthu were the Malayalam films that made it to the prestigious Venice International Film Festival earlier.
