Ryan Guan also known as Kaji, the highest paid eight-year-old YouTuber earned $26 million on his YouTube channel Ryan’s World in 2019, according to the Forbes magazine.
The channel, created in 2015 by Ryan’s parents, comprises videos of Kaji “unboxing” the toys and playing with them. This channel was originally called 'Ryan Toys Review' and had 22.9 million subscribers at the time it was launched.
The channel also contributes educational videos and has a total viewership over 30 billion. Two more characters along with the star are featured in the show to solve puzzles and to gear up the combination of physical challenges.
Kaji influences the toy industry and he announced a line of toys, branded as Ryan’s world. The toys were released at Walmart in 2018. He was also nominated for the Kids Choice Awards for Favourite Social Star. On 28 August 2019, an objection was raised and a complaint was filed by “Truth in Advertising and the Federal Trade Commission” since its sponsored videos were not mentioned. Truth in Advertising has claimed that “most of the Ryan’s World videos have included at least one on paid product endorsement which is aimed at pre-schoolers”.
According to Forbes marketing, Ryan Kaji excelled in the channel Dude Perfect, run by a group of friends from Texas who tries to attempt impossible achievements such as trick shots and ‘battles’. They earned $20 million in between 2018 and 2019 which gives them the 2nd place.
In third place was a Russian child star Anastasia Radzinskaya, the host of the show Funny Stacy and Like Nastya Vlog who is only five years old and earns $18 million.
Forbes estimates that 10 highest earners on YouTube which is owned by Google brought in a total of $162 million in between 2018 and 2019.
