Netflix announces four Indian films

Anurag Kashyap will direct the first movie titled Choked

Netflix, on Thursday, announced four Indian films for 2020, to be helmed by directors Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee.

Anurag Kashyap will direct the first movie titled Choked, starring Saiyami Kher and Roshan Mathew. Vikramaditya Motwane's directorial is titled AK vs AK. The movie features Anil Kapoor and Kashyap. Dibakar Banerjee's film titled Freedom features actors Naseeruddin Shah, Manisha Koirala, Huma Qureshi, Kalki Koechlin, Divya Dutta, Zoya Husain, Shashank Arora, and Neeraj Kabi.

The fourth and yet untitled film will be an anthology from Karan Johar and Dharmatic, featuring Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul, Nusrat Bharucha, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Jaideep Ahlawat. "An anthology allows us to bring together diverse creative minds to showcase different facets of the same concept in a unique manner, and Netflix presents these beautifully... Each director will bring their unique vision to the table, amalgamating in a piece that many viewers across the world will definitely resonate with," Johar said.
