Actor Shahbaz Khan booked for allegedly molesting girl

A case has been filed against actor Shahbaz Khan for allegedly molesting a girl in Mumbai.

An FIR has been registered at Oshiwara Police Station under IPC Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult modesty of a woman), ANI reported.

Shahbaz is known for his roles in movies like Yug, The Great Maratha, Betaal Pachisi, 'Chandrakanta and The Sword of Tipu Sultan. He has also worked in television shows like Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush, Tenali Rama and Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali. He has also acted in a Chinese film Dying to Survive.

Shahbaz, whose real name is Haider Khan, is the son of Padma Bhushan awardee and classical vocalist Ustad Amir Khan.

Investigation in the case is underway.
