Celebrity photographer Pallav Paliwal shared a video of actor Rishi Kapoor, who passed away on Thursday, listening to a song being sung by a hospital worker.

In the video, Kapoor is seen listening to the track from his film Deewana—‘Tere dard se dil abaad raha’ (my heart remained filled by the pain left by you).

After the health worker finished singing the song, Kapoor said, “Very good,” and went on to bless him by saying, “May you progress in life and be successful. Work hard as fame is a result of hard work and good luck.”

The video was shot during the actor’s visit to the hospital early this year.

Rishi Kapoor’s family, in a statement announcing his demise, said the actor “would like to be remembered with a smile and not with tears.”

Kapoor’s last rites will be performed this evening. Close family members including his niece Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan have arrived at the crematorium. Kapoor’s daughter, jewellery designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, who lives in Delhi has obtained special permission from the Centre to attend her father’s funeral.

Mumbai airport has booked the slot of 6 pm for Riddhima’s private flight.

Keeping in mind the lockdown situation, the family has issued a message urging fans to respect the laws of the land that are in force. “He (Rishi) would not have it any other way,” the statement added.
