Sandalwood actor Chiranjeevi Sarja passed away in Bengaluru on Sunday after suffering a heart attack. He was 39 years old.
According to media reports, Chiranjeevi Sarja, a relative of South Indian star Arjun Sarja was rushed to hospital on Saturday after he complained of chest pain. He was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru's Jayanagar.
The attempts of doctors to revive him failed. According to a Deccan Herald report, the actor's throat swab sample has been sent for testing.
Chiranjeevi Sarja, who has acted in more than 20 films, was married to actor Meghana Raj.
Actor Priyamani took to Twitter to share the news. "Shocked to hear about #chiranjeevisarja ‘s demise!!! Can never forget his smiling face💔💔💔my deepest condolences to the whole family," she wrote.
Former team India player Anil Kumble too expressed his shock over the demise of the actor. "Deeply saddened and shocked to hear the passing away of #ChiranjeeviSarja. A young talent gone too soon. Condolences to his family and friends.”
Chiranjeevi Sarja had made his movie debut with Vayuputra in 2009. Some of his movies include Ram-Leela, Amma I Love You, and Chandralekha.
