On Saturday, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan took to Twitter to urge his fans to stand with the fans of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who had committed suicide.
"A request to all my fans to stand with Sushant's fans and not to go by the language and the curses used but to go with the emotion behind it. Please support and stand by his family and fans as the loss of a loved one is extremely painful," Salman Khan wrote.
The tweet hadn't gone down well with many on social media, who pointed out to the actor that he has been launching actors with hardly any talent while people like Sushant were struggling to land in roles.
Now, singer Sona Mohapatra dubbed the tweet by Salman Khan a "large hearted PR move" and said the actor never felt the need to aplogise when this "digital paid army" intimidated and bullied people.
"A ‘large hearted’ PR move from the one & only poster boy of toxic masculinity!👇🏾Of course he felt no such need to tweet or apologise for the vile threats that his digital paid army sent out to intimidate & bully others in the past. Got his dad to speak everytime he screwed up," the singer wrote on Twitter.
