After dairy brand Amul celebrated Amitabh Bachchan’s recovery from COVID-19 with a doodle, the veteran actor took to Twitter to thank the brand for honouring him. The cartoon, with a caption ‘AB Beats C’, featured the Amul girl leaning onto the actor, dressed in his trademark kurta and shawl combination, as they check his mobile phone. “Thank you AMUL for continuously thinking of me in your unique poster campaigns ..,” Bachchan tweeted.

Later, he also hit out at a troll who said that he might have been paid for this advertisement. The troll had commented in Hindi that that brand must have given him a fair amount of money.
Taking to his blog, Bachchan posted screengrabs of his conversation with the troll and said that he has never campaigned for Amul. Replying in Hindi, Bachchan said that he has never endorsed Amul, and added that his upbringing does not permit him to use unsavoury language.
Amitabh was admitted to Nanavati hospital last month after he tested positive for the coronavirus. Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and their daughter Aaradhya also tested positive.
Amitabh Bachchan got discharged from hospital after testing negative for the disease on Sunday. Abhishek took to Twitter to announce the news that his father has tested negative and has been discharged. "My father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him," he tweeted.
Abhishek further said he will continue to be hospitalised as he is still positive for the disease.
