Actor Unni P. Dev, son of late Malayalam actor Rajan P. Dev, was arrested on Tuesday in connection with his wife Priyanka’s death. He is being interrogated by the Nedumangad police, Manorama News reported.
Priyanka was found hanging in her bedroom at her residence earlier this month. A day before her death, Priyanka had filed a complaint of domestic violence against Unni at the police station. After her death, her family registered a police complaint against Unni for domestic violence and abetment of suicide.
Unni and Priyanka had tied the knot on November 21, 2019. Unni became a known face in Mollywood after featuring in movies like Idi, Rakshadhikari Baiju, Aadu 2, Mandaram, Janamaithri and Sachin. His character in Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu had earned him praises.
